Weeds?

Maybe.

As the old saying that I just made up goes, 'one man's weed is another man's salad' so it really depends on what you mean when you say 'weed'.

Click below for specific weeds but, in general, with a few exceptions (mostly pernicious weeds), as long as it's still green and doesn't have loads of seeds attached, it should be ok. The worry is that it'll start growing again in the compost heap - if you keep the heap well turned and well balanced, the heat should put a stop to that.
