Conifer resin can be toxic, so be careful of that, and also conifers take ages and ages to rot down so avoid adding them in large amounts to your main compost heap.
If you've got a lot to get rid of, shredding them down into small chunks helps and consider starting a special slow compost heap to avoid interferring with the speed of your normal one.
